Built in 1929, the Grove Arcade was the first indoor mall in America. We were hired to restore or rebuild 100 doors, and all original paneling and trim that was removed or damaged by the previous owner. We re-hung all the doors on new hardware. We then replicated and installed trim and five new store front windows to match original.

The restored Grove Arcade opened in 2002 and includes restaurants, shops, offices and apartments. The Arcade remains Western North Carolina’s largest commercial building and has become a wonderful new downtown resource for residents and visitors.

We are proud to have participated in returning this beautiful public space to its former glory.
